Carly Piercy, RMT - Massage Therapist
Carly Piercy grew up on an acreage, outside of Calgary. As a youth she enjoyed being outdoors and participated in many sports such as competitive horseback riding in both Western and English, and also trained young horses. Currently she is working on training her new horse with hope of competing in barrel racing events. Swimming had always been a big part of her life, as a youth she was a competitive swimmer, then progressed to becoming an instructor, lifeguard, and then played waterpolo. Prior to attending Mount Royal to complete her Massage Therapy Diploma, Carly was a Red Seal Journeyman Glazier and worked on many buildings in and around Calgary. The experience of working within the trades helps her treat a wide variety of clients, as she understands the effects and stressors that manual labour has on the body. Her sports background’s not only helps her to understand sport-related injury, but helps her when performing assessments and with treating sports injuries. As a massage therapist, Carly enjoys working with a multi-disciplinary team as this approach provides the clients with the best treatment possible. Carly skillset includes the ability to treat a wide variety of conditions. She is able to provide treatment which can range from a therapeutic (including deep tissue massage) to a relaxation massage. When not at work, Carly enjoys spending time with her family, animals and working with her horses.
